FPU reconciles budget billing accounts in May

May is the designated month when Fayetteville Public Utilities (FPU) reconciles all budget billing accounts for its electric and natural gas customers participating in the payment plan.

“We encourage our customers to check their most recent FPU billing statements to see if the Budget Billing balances for electric and natural gas accounts have credit or debit balances,” says Britt Dye, FPU’s CEO and general manager.  “FPU will settle all outstanding balances during the month of May which could leave you owing an additional amount to catch your account up.”

If customers have a credit balance, FPU will refund the overpayment accrued throughout the year. Those with debit balances will see the underpayment amount become due when their May utility bills are due.
